- Dosage:
- Initial bolus: 0.3 mg/kg – 0.5 mg/kg
- Intermittent bolus: 0.1-0.3 mg/kg
- Maintenance: 0.1-0.3 mg/kg/hr
- Alternative use is to administer 10-20mg prior to administration of opioid
- Subanesthetic dose decreases risks of postoperative hallucinations
